Oxford is clearly best known for its university and although lots of things around the city are geared at the students, most tend to have a universal appeal. The colleges are an interesting insight into the educational heritage of the city and offer some brilliant pieces of architecture. The River Cherwell is often a popular spot during the summer and although not quite as famous as Cambridge for punting, it is still a top spot for mucking around on the water and you don't have to be a punt to have a go. Oxford has everything that your average city has, but to make the most of your time here you should experience what makes this place unique. With some top restaurants around you can enjoy some quality food too, before hitting the pubs for a more traditional stag night out on the town with the guys.
