Madrid Stag Weekends

If you're looking to have a crazy stag do in Spain, then you'll want to go to a crazy city and Madrid is the best destination for that. The capital of Spain, and energy, Madrid has an amazing and vibrant atmosphere, which is thanks to the locals who have a lust for life. The Madrilenian's night time antics often carry on through till the early hours of the morning, so if you want breakfast, you'll have to cut your evening short. There's loads going on at night but if you want something to do during the day then the Bernabéu Stadium is an unmissable stag weekend idea for the football lovers among you!

About Madrid

The locals have a natural instinct to seek out the best parties so if you follow the crowds, the chances are you'll stumble across some top nights out. If you're less willing to wing it then the Malasaña area, around Plaza de Dos de Mayo, has a great reputation for quality nightlife. Madrid is a Mediterranean Mecca of excitement and entertainment during the day or night and there's always some sort of theatrics going on. With this manic party environment it's common to take things slowly during the day, chilling out at a cafe or bar with a couple of San Miguels whilst people watching.

Alternatively, if you're looking for something more active, there are loads of stag party activities which you can do to keep you occupied. It would be folly for any football fanatics to miss out on the chance to see Real Madrid. For a while now it has been their philosophy to buy the biggest names in the game and the opportunity to see them doesn't come around every day.

Pace yourselves!

Madrid is such a late city that there is no need to go out drinking till late. Dinner begins about 10pm at weekends, bars get lively at midnights and clubs get going after 3 am!

Going Out

Most people go for the lively bar and club scene near Puerta del Sol/Plaza Santa Ana. But donít forget the insidersí tips for going out in Madrid: the area of bars, restaurants and clubs around AVENIDA DE BRASIL (Bernabeu Stadium area): this is full of great bars (like The Rover) clubs like Moby Dick and Bangaloo, Strip Bars (all over) and restaurants like The Beef Place.

Get Real!

Donít visit Madrid without treating yourself to the once-in-a-lifetime footy fanís experience for watching Real Madrid play at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Ask us about tickets! If Real are not at home that weekend, you can see Atletico (riding high in La Liga and Europa League Champions) at the equally impressive Vicente Calderon Stadium; again weíll be happy to sort you out with tickets. If all else fails, visit the Bernabeu Museum and Real Madrid stadium tour!

Gran Via

Make sure your guide shows you the fascinating street Gran Via at night (late on). Youíll see everything happening there, including a few special strip bars our guides will be happy to show you!

Get the stag chased by a bull

Madrid is the capital of bullfighting in all its variants, and whatever your opinion of the famous bloodsport (we can arrange a visit to the Plaza de Toros if you are interested) you may want to try the safe, and animal-friendly baby version.
