The locals have a natural instinct to seek out the best parties so if you follow the crowds, the chances are you'll stumble across some top nights out. If you're less willing to wing it then the Malasaña area, around Plaza de Dos de Mayo, has a great reputation for quality nightlife. Madrid is a Mediterranean Mecca of excitement and entertainment during the day or night and there's always some sort of theatrics going on. With this manic party environment it's common to take things slowly during the day, chilling out at a cafe or bar with a couple of San Miguels whilst people watching.
Alternatively, if you're looking for something more active, there are loads of stag party activities which you can do to keep you occupied. It would be folly for any football fanatics to miss out on the chance to see Real Madrid. For a while now it has been their philosophy to buy the biggest names in the game and the opportunity to see them doesn't come around every day.
Madrid is such a late city that there is no need to go out drinking till late. Dinner begins about 10pm at weekends, bars get lively at midnights and clubs get going after 3 am!
Most people go for the lively bar and club scene near Puerta del Sol/Plaza Santa Ana. If all else fails, visit the Bernabeu Museum and Real Madrid stadium tour!
Make sure your guide shows you the fascinating street Gran Via at night (late on). Youíll see everything happening there, including a few special strip bars our guides will be happy to show you!
Madrid is the capital of bullfighting in all its variants, and whatever your opinion of the famous bloodsport (we can arrange a visit to the Plaza de Toros if you are interested) you may want to try the safe, and animal-friendly baby version. Get the stag chased by a little bull (which isnít so little when you are in the ring with him) at your own bullfight! A unique, hilarious, and memorable activity!
