Barcelona Stag Weekends

Culture, colour and craziness combine in the heart of Barcelona, with the Catalonian capital offering entertainment for all your stags. Glittering sands and cool bar side cafes make up one side of Barcelona whilst the other is all beer, football and a vibrant club scene gives you more than your fair share of Spanish senoritas to enjoy. Barcelona is a city which deserves its reputation and ensures your stags will have their work cut out during your stay in the city.

About Barcelona

If you’re after adventure and a big hit of adrenalin for your stag then look no further than the slides and splashes of Barcelona’s water park or enjoy a go karting session or quad biking. To walk in the footsteps of your footballing heroes from Messi to Ronaldinho and Suarez to Cruyff take in the Camp Nou Stadium tour or make things a little steamier even before the sun goes down and settle down for a session of oil wrestling and watch those girls go.

Barcelona has a renowned foodie scene, with over 20 Michelin starred restaurants and 4 with 2 stars so there is plenty of choice when it’s time to enjoy a bite to eat but what you really want to know about is late night Barcelona – the girls, the clubs and the best party spots in the city. With an international atmosphere Barcelona is home to every type of bar and pub you can imagine, with the Gothic Quarter home to some of its coolest clubs. When it’s time to hit the clubs then Placa Real and Port Olimpic are your best choices, where some of the biggest clubs and best parties will be found and if you’re looking to enjoy some more naughty night time escapades you can book a stripper from some traditional stag style fun or head down to one of Barcelona’s late night lap dancing bars, for something special in store for every one of your stags.

Getting There

Barcelona El Prat Airport, known simply as Barcelona Airport, is the main airport serving the city. Flights from the UK last around 2 to 2.5 hours and you can fly from all major airports with a choice of airlines. The airport is about a 30 to 40 minute drive (17 km) from the city centre.

Main flight options:

  • Gatwick -  Easyjet, Monarch, British Airways, Norwegian Air and Vueling
  • Stansted - Ryanair
  • Luton - Easyjet
  • Manchester - Ryanair, Monarch, Jet2 and Vueling.

Beaches

Barcelona’s got loads of great beaches, so rather than heading straight to the main beach why not head a little further down the coast to Marbella where you’ll escape the tourists and find yourself surrounded by the local señoritas as well as a plethora of Brazilian girls who flock to this area.

Football

Of course Barcelona is famous for its football club and a trip to the Nou Camp is a must for many of the groups that come here. However, what many people don’t realise is that Barcelona has two top flight clubs in La Liga. FC Espanyol play their home games at the Olympic stadium, so if Barca happen to be playing away or you just fancy catching two matches in the same weekend it’s an option well worth considering.

Clubbing

Port Olympic was developed for the 92 Olympics and as such it’s been purpose built for clubbing and partying. The nightclubs here can be quite fussy on dress code and the local girls don’t really dig the football shirt and jeans look. So if you’re looking to get lucky with the señoritas a little extra effort will go a long way.

Eating Out

Don’t panic if Spanish food’s not your thing. Barcelona has food options from all over the world. In particular there is a large and thriving Argentinian community here so if you’re looking for a good steak you’ll be spoilt for choice. If you're nursing a hangover and a continental breakfast doesn’t take your fancy, don’t panic, a good old fashioned fry up is always close at hand too.

Baghdad

Baghdad is one of Barcelona’s most notorious strip shows. Entry isn’t cheap, but there are always discounts for stag groups. Many a red faced Stag has emerged from here with a story he’d rather the bride didn't get to hear!
