When you think Prague, you immediately think ‘stag destination’. It has everything you need for a perfect stag; girls, guns and beer. We sent out four of our top Red7 travel gurus to the city to get the lowdown on this Eastern European gem, and it definitely lived up to the hype!

Happy Stag in Prague Hotel

When looking for accommodation, you’re good as long as you are near a metro stop or a tram line, and not too far from the city. Everything is really cheap when it comes to travel so you won’t have to worry about losing too much valuable beer money to public transport. If you’re on a really tight budget you can even book for allocation on arrival. Most of the hotels are three stars, within easy reach of the city centre and are mainly twin or triple rooms. For the lads that want a little more freedom, take a look at our 3 star self-catered apartments. Located near the Wenceslas Square and close to the Prague nightlife, they make the perfect base for stags.

Drinking beer in Prague

Prague food follows one rule – the meatier the better and all served with a beer.  There’s plenty of casserole style dishes on every menu so you won’t be short of a hearty meal each day.

If you are after a different experience, the Medieval Banquet is loads of fun (just maybe not for the vegetarians). There’s a 5 course meal, live music and entertainment throughout your meal that delivers loads of fun before the night ahead.

Astronomical clock in Old Town Square in Prague

Prague has some pretty cool buildings, so it’s definitely worth checking out Prague Castle and The Old Town Hall Tower & Astronomical clock for some decent views of the city. You should also cross over the Charles Bridge at least once during your stay for views of the castle and all that goes on along the river.  When you need a beer break from all the exploring, the riverside cafes are perfect spots for a pint – the beer tends to be a bit more expensive in these cafes but for when it’s sunny outside it’s worth the extra pennies.

Prague Czech Republic

Prague hosts some of the best day time activities, and everything you would expect from a stag do. The Go Karting experience is really fun on a course packed with loads of sharp turns, and the fast karts add to the adrenaline. Plus, there’s a chilled out bar area serving drinks whilst you wait in between turns.

Shoot in Prague Gun Range

Another activity that came highly recommended by our 4 gurus was the shooting.  After a quick safety briefing, you get to fire 20 rounds with an AK47 Kalashnikov at a paper target. There’s a beer included here too, but that’s for after handling the guns…

Not quite a day time activity, but definitely one to take you from day to night is the stripper cruise.  Not only do you get to cruise the Vltava River at sunset and see the sights, you also get a pretty good show. It’s safe to say that everyone enjoyed this part of the trip!

Prague Nightlife Old Town Square

The nightlife in Prague is amazing – all the bars are fun, there’s a relaxed dress code, a great friendly vibe and everything runs until the sun comes up. Most of the popular clubs are found in the Old Town, including the largest nightclub in Central Europe, Karlovy Lazne. The club has five dancefloors and four floors playing a range of music – definitely worth a visit at least once during your stay.

Finally, no stag is complete without a visit to a lapdance club, so of course our gurus had to check it out. The number one dance club in Prague is classy and serves good drinks with the option of private and table dances – something not to be missed! After a heavy night you will certainly need something to cure the hangover and we recommend Hooters – the perfect place to reminisce over the night before.

So there you have it – our team’s first-hand recommendations for an amazing stag do in Prague. All in all, the Czech capital really is a cracking destination for a lively stag do with the lads, promising plenty of beer, unmissable adrenaline-filled activities and lots of after-dark entertainment. What’s not to love?
