Fitness stag dos? Looking to give your best friend the send-off he deserves? Look no further
A recent survey by Banana Moon Clothing found 71% of Stag (and Hen) parties involve the pub. Hardly surprising. But it seems that things are starting to change.
Check out Mendip Snowsport Centre in Bristol to check out their fitness stag do package. Yes, it is a thing.
Boozy (and expensive) weekend in Prague? Forget it. Upgrade your fitness stag do, or your best friends, with a couple of days of snowboarding, abseiling and rock climbing. You’ll even be able to remember it once you return home. Unlike the majority of stags.
Variety is the spice of stags
Up until now, the most variety you’ve experienced on a stag weekend is crawling between different pubs and clubs. By opting for adventure over a shot of absinthe, you won’t only be boosting your levels of testosterone, but the possibilities of what you can have a go at are endless.
You’ll actually remember it
The days after a big weekend usually involves trying to piece together the events that unfolded through videos and pictures posted in the group chat. Adventure activities will require your full focus and you’re unlikely to forget the adrenaline surge that accompanies most fitness pursuits. You’ll also cover your back come wedding day when questions are asked about the weekend. What stays on tour…
Escape awkward moments
9 times out of 10 (that’s not an official stag-tistic) the stag will be forced by his fiancée to invite the men on her side of the family to be part of the stag celebrations. To ease any potential awkward meet and greets, activities like abseiling and rock climbing will require everyone in the party to help one another out. Don’t get on with the father-in-law? Probably best not to be in control of the rope when he’s abseiling.
Fitness stag dos might mean cutting down on your alcohol intake during activities, but there’s nothing to stop the obligatory and ridiculous fancy dress outfits from making an appearance (along with protective gear of course). In fact, the extra cushioning provided by a fake set of breasts could come in handy if the stag comes tumbling down the slopes snowboarding.
