Not only is there an increase in popularity for dwarfs on screen with Game of Thrones, as well as the TV programme Life’s Too Short hitting our screens over the last year, there has also been an increase in popularity for hiring dwarfs for stag or hen parties leading to a shortage of dwarfs being available to meet the demands.

Even celebrities are choosing to hire dwarfs for parties, with the JLS boys having hired one for Marvin Humes’ stag party in Las Vegas, whom he was handcuffed to for most of the duration of his time there!

Also adding to the shortage is that this year there’s also been an increase in Snow White and The Seven Dwarf pantomime shows, with over 16 due to be staged over the UK over the next couple of months. Director of a entertainment agency Chosen Events Les Joseph says;

“I’ve been in this business for 15 years and I’ve never known anything like it…I’m getting at least 20 enquiries a week from all over the country…They’re not just dwarfs, they’re entertainers. Some are magicians, some of them juggle but, to be honest, a lot of the time customers just want them to be handcuffed to the stag.”

So if you’re looking for stag party ideas in Bristol or anywhere else in the UK and you like the sound of being accompanied by a dwarf for the event then you best get booking!
