Stag weekends full of beer, strippers and tying hapless souls to lamp posts all have their merit, but these days the average stag weekend is getting bigger, better and more ambitious.

Try these alternative stag weekend ideas of epic proportions out for size.

Spas, gun ranges and oil wrestling in Budapest.

Oil Wrestling

Budapest is one of the most hedonistic stag destinations in Europe. Lying on the banks of the Danube, this Eastern European party capital is known for it’s epic outdoor nightclubs and quirky bars, relaxed attitude and naughty stag do activities. Take oil wrestling, for instance. Stags also have opportunity to visit a gun range and learn how to handle some enormous machinery, such as an AK47 Kalashnikov. Budapest luckily offers plenty of opportunity for recovery. Stags can relax after a weekend of wild partying and debauchery in one of the largest spas in Europe. It’s 115 natural thermal springs pump out 18 million litres of hot, mineral rich water a day. The Szechenyi spa has 18 indoor and outdoor pools and 10 saunas, and is the perfect way to waste an afternoon in old school Hungarian luxury.

Surfing, adrenalin and ale in Newquay.

Topless Tour 3

The dramatic Cornwall coastline attracts thousands of visitors every year, and looks like it’s itching  to be explored, hiked, climbed and surfed. Newquay is the surfing capital of the UK and perfect for a stag weekend jam-packed with adrenalin fuelled activities and the great outdoors. Stags can try their hand at catching a wave on a surfboard or bodyboard, coasteering, paintball, quad biking, clay pigeon shooting and deep sea fishing. The list is endless, and so is the fun. After the lads have finished posing in their wetsuits, they can fill their boots in some of the best pubs in Cornwall, which are used to catering for the party loving surf crowd.

Giving James Bond a run for his money in London.

Bond Girl Experience

London’s nightlife is hands down one of the best in Europe, with world famous nightclubs and enough pubs to cater for a year-long stag do (not something we’d recommend). Experience the old-school glamour of London and follow in the footsteps of the ultimate schmoozer,  007 himself, with a James Bond experience. The stags can be treated to VIP access in London’s exclusive nightclubs, an exhilarating high speed chase down the Thames past Canary Wharf and M16, a casino night with a private host and poker lessons, and top the weekend off with a steamy show from some unbelievably exotic Bond girls.

VIP Apres-ski and snowmobile racing in Andorra

Bratislava

Fancy tearing up the powder at 2050 metres altitude? With over 200km of runs and the highest slopes in the Pyrenees,  El Pas de la Casa ski resort in Andorra is one of the most exciting ski ad snowboarding destinations in Europe. Stags can spend their days racing down the slopes or learning to master them, racing over the white stuff on snowmobiles at epic speeds or tearing through the snow drifts in a fleet of  snow buggies (big, loud quad bikes for snow). By night, El Pas de la Casa is a notoriously wild nightlife resort with out of this world parties that go on well into the morning. Red 7 can bag the stags VIP access to the most exclusive nightlife destinations – we know how important it is for stags to hit the bars and the slopes in equal measure.
