Spend 24 hours in London and you’ll feel like you haven’t seen nearly enough of this exciting and diverse city. This is good news for hen parties – because there’s no way you’ll run out of things to do in the big smoke. Every area of London is different, like a collection of villages, each one with a different atmosphere, sights, nightlife and fashion tribes. Travel on the underground for a few minutes and you’ll feel like you’ve resurfaced onto another planet. We know that hen parties need to be smart when selecting their activities, and in London this is especially important. Here are some of London’s highlights, to ensure you make the most of your hen party in the capital;
As far as fashion is concerned, anything goes. If you and your hens like dressing up, you’ll be hard pressed to stand out from the crowd in this eclectic city. Challenge accepted!
Hot tip: For the ultimate fashionista people-watching, head to East London hotspots like Shoreditch to see the wacky and wonderful.
London = foodie heaven. The city’s cultural diversity is truly epic, with cuisines from every corner of the planet and incredible food markets like Borough Market and a vast array of street food.
Hot tip: If street food is well up your street and you fancy trying some gourmet street food delights with your hens, Broadway Market in East London is a hen party must. Also, head to Brick Lane for one of the best curries of your life, ideal for soaking up a hen party hangover.
London hen parties can experience everything from West End shows, cabaret in Soho, museums, art exhibitions, comedy, dance, opera and even street art.
Hot tip: The Barbican Centre in central London showcases everything from film, theatre, art and music, and has some weird and wonderful exhibits. Our favourite was their room full of interactive rain.
London is full to bursting with world famous sights. It’s hard to walk down a London street without passing a bit of history. Book your hen party onto a sightseeing tour, or do it yourself and stroll along the river for some perfect views of the London skyline.
Hot tip: Spend a relaxing day after a big night out strolling along the beautiful Regent’s Canal, from Little Venice to Victoria Park. You’ll go East to West, passing Regents Park and London Zoo, classy and quirky Primrose Hill and Camden Lock.
London’s nightlife is hard to beat. Think superclubs, pubs in the park, street parties, hipster bars, live music, classy cocktails, underground speakeasies and crazy warehouse parties. And then add some more to the list.
Hot tip: If you’re looking for a grown up yet buzzing night out in London, the Islington/Angel area in North London can’t be beaten.
