As Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week draws to it’s finale, we take a look at some of the most beautiful and spectacular dresses from the past week. With everything from Chanel’s futuristic brides in trainers to Armani Prive Code’s dreamy and light metallic gowns, brides in 2014 have an incredible wealth of inspiration to choose from. Our higlights included Atelier Versace’s bejewelled headscarves, which were reminiscent of a vintage bridal train, Julien Fournie’s exquisite vintage shapes and flower head dress (we fell in love with that one), and Alexis Mabille’s butterfly-inspired fairytale glamour. Marco Zanini’s Schiaparelli deserves a special mention for his rather different take on bridalwear – you’ll know what we mean when you see his bridal trouser suit, but he also blew us away with his pale green gown with a simple top and whimisical ruffled skirt. Finally, our favourite wedding inspiration had to come from the stunning collection from Elie Saab. We loved every single dress, but the stand out pieces were the incredibly detailed bridal gown and the romantic sheer-panelled dresses. We can’t wait to see which dresses turn up at the Oscars in a few weeks time… Enjoy!
