It has been reported that more than 115,000 stag and hen weekend individuals have woken up with a tattoo or piercing. The data has been gathered over the past two years, with a reported 5.7 million people having travelled for a party abroad in this period.

The research has found that whilst on a prenuptial weekend many party-goers got lost during the festivities, waking up in strange and unfamiliar places. It has proven to be one of Britain’s favourite past-times over the years, as we all know someone who has done this. However whilst overseas this can lead to severe consequences. In the two year period 114,000 people ended up stranded after missing their flights.

In addition to these mishaps, which no doubt led to amusing best man tales, around 570,000 people returned to the UK without iPods, money, cameras and other items. I can completely understand this figure due to one friend. On one stag weekend in Barcelona he managed to drop his phone into a glass of orange juice, misplace his iPod and leave his wallet in a restaurant the evening before a very early morning departure.
