London Fashion Week is almost upon us, and London has gone fashion crazy, with fashion bloggers, models, journalists and celebrities getting ready to descend upon the city from September 13th-17th, dressed head to toe in the latest and most adventurous Autumn/Winter fashion trends. It’s hard not to want to feel like part of the show when you’re in London for this exciting week, what with all the after parties, flagship store events and pop up stores going on all around you. So, if you’re lucky enough to be going on a hen party or weekend in London for London Fashion Week, here’s how to get that all-important fashionista look, catch some free shows and be seen in all the right places. Who knows, you might even get papped by a street-style scout.
A lot of the big designer catwalk shows will be happening at Somerset House throughout London Fashion Week (great for people watching if you happen to be in the area). What’s more, at the weekend, Somerset House are hosting a four day fashion festival, with tickets available for you and your hen party to buy. Experience London Fashion Week by shopping till you drop in pop up shops, get your hair and makeup done by the best in the business, ready for your hen party night out, and catch some catwalk shows.
Ah, Oxford Street, home to more high street flagship stores than you can shake a hen party willy straw at. As well as the ultimate shopping destination, Oxford Street is a haven for those that don’t count themselves as the exclusive London Fashion Week, front-row inhabiting elite. That’s most of us then. The New West End Company have teamed up with the British Fashion Council to put on an almighty range of high street and designer fashion shows throughout Fashion Week for shoppers from big name high street brands like River island, in-store talks by British designers and free professional makeovers. Get the low down here.
At London Fashion Week SS14, fashionistas across the city will be wearing the height of Autumn/Winter Fashion. Here’s a few key pieces you should be squeezing into your hen weekend suitcase. Take your pick and you’ll be laughing all the way to the front row.
