It’s not the first destination you would think of for a stag do of one of the biggest names in football however, Gary Neville found himself in Galway, Ireland, on a friends stag do, tweeting for advice from his 700,000 + followers;
“Going on a stag do in Galway soon. Any tips on places to go / Things to do?”
Former Manchester United defender and current coach for England found something to do in the end and not just your average stag do activity either. Neville and the rest of the stag group ended up in a 10-sport challenge which included hurling, a traditional Irish sport.
It’s not the first sport you’d think of when it comes to high profile footballer however, it’s not to be underestimated; a 3,000 year old sport, it is possibly a more ancient sport than football and is older than the recorded history of Ireland!
If you fancy trying out this unique stag party activity for something a little different then go for a stag party in Dublin where we offer up a wondrous combo of gaelic games to get stuck into including hurling, handball and Gaelic football.
You’ll get to the heart of Irish culture as well as have a darn good craic!
