Each week we take fashion inspiration from the best-dressed celebrities and show you how to recreate their looks on the high street.

This week: how to dress for a summer wedding.

Another week, another triumph for celebrity fashion. This week has been a big one for red carpet fashion, what with the CFDA Awards and the Glamour Awards. The stars stepped out in an incredible line up of metallic and seventies inspired fashion looks, as well as some flawless Spring/Summer colour blocking.

We’ve picked out the best dressed celebrities of the week and taken inspiration from their designer threads to create some winning looks perfect for wearing to a summer wedding.

Lily Allen

Lily Allen attended The Other Ball this week wearing a borrowed vintage Seventies gown with metallic detailing, a keyhole neckline and a split front.

How to wear Lily Allen’s look for a summer wedding:

Create a long Seventies style silhouette foe a glamorous wedding look with a long-sleeved maxi dress with a deep thigh split. Vintage inspired statement jewellery echoes Lily’s metallic detailing and a mirrored clutch and high black platforms complete this daring yet sophisticated wedding outfit. Wear hair swept to the side for further retro wedding style appeal or copy this season’s loose, flowing ‘mermaid’ waves.

Blake Lively

Blake Lively attended the CFDA Fashion Awards wearing a gold sequin Michael Kors mini dress.

How to wear Blake Lively’s look for a summer wedding:

Gold sequins are an unusual take on wedding style, but this beaded gold Topshop dress is a more subtle take on this season’s embellished dress trend. Copy Blake Lively’s sixties inspired red carpet look by pairing a mini dress with pink suede court shoes and statement cuffs or bangles. Create a hairstyle with lots of volume for on trend Summer wedding style.

Beyoncé and Solange

Beyoncé and Solange coordinate at the Chime for Change party in New York in white and summer brights tailoring.

How to wear Beyoncé and Solange’s look for a summer wedding:

When Beyoncé and Solange reunited in New York this week they mirrored each with smart yet feminine tailoring and simple colours. Beyoncé’s white jumpsuit is a perfect style example to take to a Summer wedding. Wear with black accessories like these River Island peep toe platforms to recreate Spring/Summer’s essential monochrome look. Solange has added a bright orange colour pop to her white wide legged trousers. Pair bold colours with subtle metallic accessories for a sophisticated wedding look.

 Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner wore a dazzling blue tailored suit whilst out and about in New York this week.

How to wear Kendall Jenner’s look for a summer wedding:

Suits and coordinates are big this season and easy to adapt for a stylish summer wedding outfit. Recreate this essential summer celebrity look worn by Kendall Jenner this week with a pastel coloured suit. This short suit version by ASOS is a more feminine take on the trend, perfect for weddings. Pair with a white shirt or camisole top and metallic accessories.

Emma Willis

Emma Willis made a splash at the Glamour Awards in a bright Roksanda Illinic full yellow skirt with a green and white top.

How to wear Emma Willis’ look for a summer wedding:

Emma’s red carpet look plays around with colour blocking and a classic silhouette. Copy Emma’s celebrity style for a winning Summer wedding style entrance with this full midi skirt from ASOS. Experiment with white, delicate blouses which expose the shoulders to avoid looking too severe and add definition with black accessories. We love the hint of green in Emma’s top so found this gorgeous leather clutch to contrast with the yellow skirt.
