Christmas is fast approaching and we all know what that means – a painful blow to the bank balance with expenditure on presents, food and of course, those festive drinks which seem to occur most nights in the lead up to Christmas!
So if you happen to have a hen weekend that falls before or after Christmas then you’re probably finding yourself in a particularly difficult position when it comes to asking your friends to spend money on your hen party (as if it wasn’t hard enough already!)
Even if your hen party isn’t around the most expensive time of year, it can be difficult asking your friends to spend money on an extravagant weekend. Don’t worry though; there are a plenty of destinations where you don’t need to spend much to have a good time.
You can visit Brighton at any time of year and enjoy sunbathing on the beach in the summer topping up your tans and spending quality time with the girls. In the winter, you’ve got the lanes which are ideal for wandering through admiring the boutique shops, graffiti art and the Christmas lights. With the beautiful seaside, the pier and the lanes, a hen weekend in Brighton is perfect – everything you need is within close proximity and there’s plenty you can do for free!
Centrally located, this destination is ideal if you’ve got friends coming from different parts of the UK. The city is a beautiful combination of medieval and modern so a day spent walking around looking at the sites and then stopping off for a cocktail is perfect and won’t cost you the earth. A hen party in Nottingham will mean that you get to combine culture with some of the best night life in the UK.
For those of you up north, then this is the destination for a budget hen weekend. A Blackpool hen party is ideal for its full on entertainment that won’t break the bank. Chill out on pleasure beach, pay a few quid for a fair ground ride or have a big night out with drinks that cost half the price as they do in its neighbouring northern cities.
