Torremolinos is one of the hottest hen holiday destinations, both in temperature and reputation. Once known only among the Monty Python fans, it’s now one of the best places to visit in the Costa del Sol, where the chic beach front bars, boutique shopping, delicious seafood and partying until the sun comes up are the order of the day.
With a killer sunny climate and a surprisingly picturesque look, Torremolinos is a an idyllic hen destination. Still not convinced? Here’s our guide to Torremolinos’s best bits, from the lively nightlife, to it’s pretty full line up of activities – you’re sure to keep your hen party entertained.
The Calle San Miguel is the pretty main shopping street of Toremolinos. You and your hen party can spend a leisurely afternoon wandering through the boutiques, designer stores and gift shops which line the buzzing walkway. Stray from the main stretch and explore the charming old back streets for hidden gems and bargain hunting before retiring to a pavement cafe for a cocktail in the sun. You’re sure to find a dazzling night time outfit and return to your hotel feeling refreshed from a healthy dose of good quality retail therapy.
The beaches in Torremolinos lining the crystal clear Costa del Sol coast are white, clean and sandy. Sun worshipping is a favourite Torremolinos past time, and unsurpassed when it comes to getting that all important glow before the wedding. Choose from the four local beaches, our personal favourite is La Carihuela beach, set right in the heart of the old fishing area. The beaches are lined with trendy ‘Chiringuitos,’ ideal for watching the sun set over a few drinks with the hens.
Hen parties will be pleased to hear that Torremolinos attracts a big party crowd. The Carihuela district by the sea front is the most lively area of Torremolinos, with vibrant bars and the popular La Carvezata, which boasts a selection of over one hundred beers. Start your hen party here, before moving onto one of the Torremolinos poolside nightclubs. Both The Palladium and Fun Beach have a swimming pool, epic dance floors and guest DJs playing house, RnB and electro classics until the early hours. Party goers dress up here, so be sure to pack your best pair of heels.
