Have you ever wondered how celebs throw a hen party? Imagine 5-star hotel rooms, designer dresses, some very expensive alcohol, a couple of pink hummers and you’re on the right track.

We’ve investigated 5 of the most exclusive A-list hen dos to estimate how much each celebrity bride-to-be might have splashed out on their last night as a single lady.

From Meghan Markle to Kate Moss, these hen party budgets will make you green with envy.

The Royal spa weekend

The newest royal that everyone’s talking about, Meghan Markle, reportedly celebrated her hen party earlier this month. Meghan headed to Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire, which boasts 100-acres of idyllic countryside, luxurious cabins and an onsite spa for the chilled-out day of “good food and pampering”.

While her hen party hasn’t been officially confirmed, our data estimates that the average size of a hen party in 2018 is 12 people. For Meghan, this might have included some of her closest pals, like MIC star Millie Mackintosh, designer Misha Nonoo and PR guru Violet von Westenholz.

What did they do?

Meghan and her friends probably stayed in one of the estate’s boutique cabins. Prices start at £350 per night and they come complete with oversized beds, rainforest showers and outdoor bathtubs – fit for a duchess.

While there, the party was pampered at the Cowshed spa where packages for a full body massage cost £160pp. After some relaxation, they probably headed for an afternoon tea of smoked salmon sandwiches and champagne at £25pp.

It’s no secret that Meghan is a self-proclaimed foodie, so it’s doubtless that her evening was spent in one of Soho Farmhouse’s FOUR restaurants. A three-course meal in the Main Barn would average at about £42pp, and a bottle of Meghan’s favourite, Tignanello, is charged at £135.

Total: £8,544

That brings Meghan’s total hen-do spend to a cool £8,544. It’s certainly more than us non-royals but flashing money isn’t the done thing when you’re marrying a Prince, so Meghan’s party comes in as our cheapest A-list bash.

It’s being rumoured that Meghan has another hen party up her sleeve, so she gets a chance to celebrate with her LA friends and Mum who couldn’t make the UK bash. We can’t wait to see what she does next.

The luxury Kardashian bachelorette

Kimye tied the knot in 2014 but a few months before they did, Kim and her bride squad headed to Paris for a flashy hen do.

Keeping Kim company in the French capital were sisters Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie, plus about 15 other famous faces.

What did they do?

Kim wore a Faberge-inspired Balmain dress, estimated to have cost around $20,000 (about £14,400). She stayed in a suite at the Four Seasons George V where she enjoyed a 360-degree view of the city from her private balcony. Prices start at a just £16,950 per night – book us in!

The party started with 15 bottles of Veuve Clicquot champagne priced at about £44 per bottle, before they headed to Hotel Costes for a meal.

It’s not uncommon to spot Karl Lagerfeld or Rihanna at Hotel Costes – it’s known for being one of Paris’ most fashionable hangouts. And it’s expensive too. Kim’s meal there is likely to have cost about €100 per hen.

Total: £33,791

That brings the total for Kim’s Parisienne soiree to £33,791. But we wouldn’t expect anything less from the woman who broke the internet…

The front row VIP hen do

Before Liz Hurley married Arun Nayar in 2007, she called in her A-list contacts to pull off one of the most expensive hen dos ever, (probably).

What did they do?

As a well-known fan of the Versace brand (remember that safety pin dress?), Liz got Donatella Versace to stage an exclusive fashion show for her hens. We’re assuming there were at least 12 attendees, rumoured to include BFF Victoria Beckham, who were treated to some pampering spa treatments at the party.

But this wasn’t just any fashion show. After seeing Versace designs on the catwalk, each hen got to choose their favourite to wear to the wedding – pretty decent party favours if you ask us!

Total: £36,000

It’s thought that Liz Hurley had a budget of £3,000 per guest so the day would have cost her a minimum of £36,000.

The supermodel festival weekend

In 2011, Kate Moss married Jamie Hince, but not before she celebrated the nuptials as only a supermodel could – at the Isle of Wight festival.

What did they do?

Kate and 30 friends enjoyed VIP treatment at the festival, and it didn’t come cheap – VIP tickets cost a minimum of £585 each! They got up-close-and-personal with 2011’s headliners which included Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters and Kasabian.

But the hen party didn’t camp at the festival, instead they stayed at the Priory Bay Hotel on the island. We reckon Kate and her hens needed about 15 rooms at the country house hotel, where prices start at £240.

Two pink hummers were needed to transport everyone between the hotel and the festival site, adding an extra £950 to the estimated budget.

Kate’s drink of choice was Mahiki coconut rum, a firm favourite of Prince Harry and others. The spirit costs about £17 per bottle, and Kate had 160 flown to the Isle of Wight on a helicopter costing about £5133. We dread to think of the hangover.

Total: £40,663

It’s estimated that the model’s festival-themed hen weekend came to a grand total of £40,663. Way more than any sane person would spend on a weekend in a muddy field…

The globe-trotting hen do hat-trick

Topping our list is the First Lady of Football, who had not one, not two, but THREE hen parties. Before marrying England footballer Wayne Rooney in 2008, Coleen holidayed in Miami and Tenerife, plus had a spa day and night-out in Manchester.

What did they do?

First up was a holiday to Miami. It’s thought that Coleen and 5 of her friends jetted to America for a sun-soaked hen do. A trip that we reckon cost about £3,500 for a 5-star villa and flights.

For round two, Coleen took three of her friends to Tenerife where they enjoyed some pre-wedding relaxing in a private apartment. The trip to the Canary Island might have added about £300pp to Coleen’s hen do bill.

To top off the celebrations, Coleen and some gal pals spent a day in a Manchester spa before a night out in the northern city. It’s rumoured that this was the most expensive of all Coleen’s hen parties –  at £50,000. She must have had a lotta hens!

Total: £54,700

Coleen’s hat-trick of hen parties totalled about £54,700 bagging her the number one spot on our list of A-listers.
