Engagement Celebration Champagne

There’s a ring on it and we think that calls for a celebration. An engagement party is the perfect way to celebrate with your nearest and dearest (or EVERYONE YOU KNOW), and can even be how you break the news. Like all things wedding related, it needs to be done in style. Luckily, we’ve got you covered on that front. Pop some bubbles, and get your inspiration right here.Afternoon Tea Celebration1. AFTERNOON TEA

Keep it classy with a quintessentially British afternoon tea somewhere special – great for celebrating with the family. A five-star hotel is the perfect setting for that rock, and the perfect volume level for all those compliments and ‘how it happened’ stories. Plus, there’s tea (or champagne if you prefer) and cake. Dreamy.

2. COCKTAIL MAKING

Much like wine tasting, cocktail making is a great ice-breaker, and may be more suitable if you’re not looking for a whole weekend away. Grab some friends and get mixing, learn how to make your favourite drinks, and get creative with a few new ones too.

3. MAKE A MUSIC VIDEO

Polish off your dance moves and get ready to impress with your own music video! Gather your friends, get transformed into stars, and shake it to your favourite track. You’ll even get a copy to take away with you, so it could be a creative way to make sure everyone sees the news (because a Facebook status just doesn’t cut it anymore!), or if you’re feeling really brave, show it on the big day!

Toasting with wine tasting and celebrating.4. WINE TASTING

A sophisticated weekend of wine tasting with your friends will be a memorable way to celebrate – and a great way to get an idea of what you want for the big day (there is nothing wrong with planning early!). Learn the stories of your favourite wines, or find a new favourite on a vineyard tour at home or overseas. Plus, the interactive tastings are a great way to break the ice if people in your party are meeting for the first time.

5. A NIGHT OUT

Of course, there’s nothing wrong with celebrating the old fashioned way – with a massive night out with all your mates. Go on a bar crawl, or for a night out somewhere a little more unusual – just make sure you book ahead to get the full VIP treatment.

6. THEATRE

Turn up the drama (in a good way) with a trip to the theatre. Great if you’re looking for a family friendly option or maybe just an option that’s safer to invite the future in-laws to, and it can be combined with some fine dining after too.

Women at Liverpool spa7. SPA

If you’re looking for a more relaxing option, a spa break could be just the ticket, whether you’re bringing your friends along, or enjoying some time together. Though traditionally associated with hen/stag dos, this is a great way to treat yourselves for a weekend – or after all the celebrations (we didn’t say you had to pick just one idea!).

8. A WEEKEND AWAY

Or, turn that epic night out into an epic weekend! Go to a new city, or spend a weekend at the coast – and throw in a couple of nights out for good measure! A long weekend spent exploring, coupled with lots of fizz and all your closest friends & family could be a great way to celebrate your special news.

9. CASINO NIGHT

Go big or go home at a casino night! Grab your friends and see who can double their money on the black jack table. Just don’t gamble the ring…

Eiffel Tower with boat Paris, France10. PARIS

Nothing says romance like a stroll along the Bridge of Sighs in Paris, the city of love. Plus, you can be there in just a couple of hours from London – perfect for a weekend away with your loved ones, and maybe an extra day for just the two of you to enjoy. Good wine and good food in a beautiful city – it doesn’t really get better than that.
