Today is World Absinthe Day, and in spirit of this occasion (pun intended) we’ve brought together the top 3 absinthe infused cocktails. These three twisted classics would make the ultimate pre drinks menu ahead of a night of fun and mayhem!
A twist on a classic, simply switch the rum for absinthe!
½ Fresh lime
2 Tablespoons Sugar
10 Mint Leaves
Dash of soda
Muddle 4 lime wedges in the bottom of the glass then add the sugar and muddle everything together to release the lime juice. Put the mint leaves onto one hand and clap (this bruises the leaves and releases a minty aroma and taste.) Put the mint leaves into a glass and use a spoon to gently push the mint down into the lime juice. Half fill the glass with crushed ice and pour in 30ml of Absinthe. Stir the mix until the sugar dissolves then fill the glass up to the top with crushed ice and a splash of soda.
