If you like your festivals sunny side up, then it’s time you ditched the muddy wellies and sorry camping chairs and took the party to warmer climes. The UK may be famous for it’s summer festivals, but in 2014 the trend for travelling abroad for festivals is on the rise. Festivals abroad have sunshine, big name acts and stunning scenery ranging from the beach and mountains to the heart of a cool European city.
They are relatively cheaper, even with flights and feature a refreshing lack of mud, rain, dodgy burger vans, queuing for hours down the motorway and wannabe Gallaghers in oversized parkas. Hooray for overseas festivals!
We’ve compiled a useful guide to the biggest and best festivals abroad in 2014.
