There is SO much to do in Budapest, you’re going to be hard pressed to cram in everything you wanted to do. Apart from some beautiful architecture, the activities here are endless. We’ve picked a few of our favourites, but we have loads more stag, hen and group activities on our website.
Budapest, Hungary’s capital, is bisected by the River Danube. Its 19th-century Chain Bridge connects the hilly Buda district with flat Pest. A funicular runs up Castle Hill to Buda’s Old Town, where the Budapest History Museum traces city life from Roman times onward. Trinity Square is home to 13th-century Matthias Church and the turrets of the Fishermen’s Bastion, which offer sweeping views.
Danube River Cruise – Enjoy the sights of the Danube river from the comfort of this fantastic cruise boat. There’s a headphone guide provided so you won’t miss out on spotting all the popular sights. There’s also a drink included, so you can kick back and relax and take in all this amazing city has to offer.
Extreme Shooting Experience including the AK47 – If you fancy yourself as a budding Rambo or you just want some fun with the lads or ladettes, then we have the perfect outing for you. With this Extreme Shooting experience you get to test your shooting skills with a variety of weapons in the safety of a controlled environment. And there’s no need to worry about transport as transfers are included.
The range is in an underground bunker and once there you’ll be given a safety briefing followed by expert tuition on the weapons you’re going to use. You’ll get to try pistols, assault rifles and, of course, the infamous Kalashnikov. Altogether, you’ll fire 70 shots (10 with the Kalashnikov) during your two-hour session.
Tobogganing – 5 Runs – There’s nothing better than doing an extra-ordinary activity on your weekend away! And unless you are a member of the GB Luge Team, you will not normally have chance to partake in this white knuckle activity.
You will be picked up in a private minibus with your guide and be taken to the Bobsleigh track just outside Budapest (not the one that is 41kms away that other companies offer!). Your runs on single manned bobsleighs will take you down a whopping 700 metres track, dropping 35 metres in the process, reaching speeds of up to 40 miles per hour. That may not seem fast on the M25, but it is fast enough when there is only a 2 inch gap between your bum and the track!
Szechenyi Bath Spa Day – Budapest’s Szechenyi Baths are reckoned to be among the biggest and best in Europe and are a great place to spend some down time while you’re on your hen or stag trip. Long renowned for their medicinal waters, these baths are the perfect place to unwind and forget your cares.
Your package includes entry to the complex and your own locker. Once inside, you’ll be able to enjoy the spa waters in the Greek, Roman and Scandinavian-influenced baths. You’ll also indulge you in a sauna or try the steam rooms, all this while surrounded by magnificent sculptures and mosaics.
Quad Biking – Enjoy the buzz of a quad biking session on a challenging track. This fast and furious adventure course is suitable for both beginners and experienced riders, testing your skills, stamina and ability. We’ll even arrange the transfers to get you there and back!
Half Day Paintball & 200 balls – It’s the ultimate war game – 3 hours pitting your wits against the enemy in full on action combat. Apartments are a great option for groups looking for good value and an enviable location in central Budapest. With restaurants, bars and great nightlife all on your doorstep, you’re really in the heart of the action here.
The apartments are modern and feature fully equipped kitchens, one bedroom with a double bed and separate lounge area with a double sofa bed. There’s a balcony to sit out on and enjoy the world going by and a fantastic bar on the ground floor of the building.
Looking at the building and then entering the lobby, the last thing you would imagine is you have entered a hostel. If you were told it’s an upmarket hotel you would believe it. It’s not before you enter the bunk bedded room that you realise it’s a hostel. The hostel has been converted from a 4 star hotel, very rare phenomenon indeed.
