Southampton Hen Weekends

Get a taste of nautical chic with cocktails at the marina, indulge in some serious shopping at the West Quay and party through the night to a live DJ set; step aboard the HMS Hen Party in coastal Southampton for a weekend of maritime merrymaking. If you fancy some water sports or the idea of a cruise on a summer's evening appeals, then a hen weekend in Southampton is a top pick for you. Spend some time meandering along the Above Bar area and browsing the shops, and then take a breather in one of the pretty cafes or bars nestled in this historic part of town before launching into the city's three malls in the High Street.

About Southampton

The Ocean Village Marina offers dozens of places to do lunch or just sit and watch the gorgeous boats and yachts leaving the harbour or discover some history at the SeaCity Museum telling the story of the Titanic which left from this very port. Southampton's main social hub is Bedford Place so start your evening getting to know the city in the bars and pubs clustered around the square and then head off with your hen party for dinner at one of the dozens of restaurants along Oxford Street.

Later on head towards Southampton's city walls through Ocean Village to hit some of the best bars in the city and then drop anchor at Leisure World where more night spots and clubs await you and the girls.

Learn about RMS Titanic

Everyone knows the story of the Titanic and most have seen the film with Leonardo DiCaprio! A lot of people don't know that it actually left from Southampton so if you're interested in learning more, the SeaCity Museum is dedicated to telling the tragic story.

See a film

If you love your films and fancy something chilled to do for a couple of hours then check out an arty film at the Harbour Lights Picture House.

Relax down the marina
