About Newquay

Located on Cornwall’s Atlantic Coast, Newquay is the jewel in Cornwall's crown. Voted “One of the nation's favourite seaside towns” in the prestigious Which Holiday Survey, “Best family holiday destination” by readers of COAST magazine, and has one of the UK's top ten beaches on Trip Advisor, Newquay is the perfect alternative to an overseas Hen Do.

A particularly great beach for surfer watching is Fistral, Newquay's main beach, which holds international surf competitions each summer. If you're interested in more than simply admiring the surfers in action though, then why not have your own surf lesson? Surfing is a fantastic hen party idea for those of your group who like to stay active, although a sense of humour will also help as you may spend more of your time in the sea than on the board! As well as surf lessons, you could also go on a boat trip, play some volleyball, chill out in one of the spas or have a BBQ and cocktails on the beach – the possibilities on a hen do in Newquay are endless.

As well as a surfer's paradise, the nightlife in Newquay is pulsating with plenty of fun loving groups out on a hen night. There's a strong live music scene as well as beach bars, pubs and clubs in the main town, all full of a young crowd looking for a good time. Plus, with the compact nature of Newquay, you can enjoy walking from one bar to the next, making sure you get the most out of the nightlife of on offer!

Newquay is on its own branch line, the Par to Newquay Atlantic Coast Line. Par is the connection to the Plymouth to Penzance main line and is just outside St Austell, on the Cornish south coast. The Plymouth to Penzance mainline then connects country wide. In the Summer, normally from the end of May to the end of September, Newquay has direct trains from London, Bristol, Birmingham, Yorkshire, the North East and Scotland (subject to operator changes or replacements). There is a daily London service from Newquay during July and August.
