So what exactly did happen on William’s stag do?

Well yah boo to the Palace because it appears we might never know. Said a spokesperson this morning: “I can confirm that Prince William’s stag party happened this weekend. It was an entirely private event and we don’t intend to make any further comment.”

We were kinda hoping for a re-run of William’s legendary antics at cousin Peter Phillips’s stag weekend. If your recall he rocked up in an RAF helicopter, downed his own bodyweight in lager and then pulled a moony.

No such luck this time. The original watersports weekender had to be abandoned once the press got wind of the details. So up stepped Prince Charles’s godson Hugh Van Cutsem, whose father owns a huuuuuge pile in Norfolk, to host the bash.

The 22-strong party was organised by best man Harry and nightclub owner Guy Pelly. Let it be said, with this flamboyant pair at the helm, it’s unlikely the boys had a quiet night of Jenga and Boggle. Pelly is the mastermind behind London clubs Mahiki, Whisky Mist, Punchbowl and new venue Public which boasts fancy dress, a photo booth and a merry-go-round. So we like to think that our future King saw out his bachelorhood lying beneath a Krug-and-vodka luge surrounded by troupes of pole dancers, strippers and acrobats fuelled by half a pound of Colombia’s finest.

Thing is, we’ll never know…
