It’s little surprise that this city is such a popular stag weekend destination – knowing how to have a good time runs in the life blood of most Dubliners.
From the old-school craic in the traditional pubs of cobbled Temple Bar to the pumping club scene around central St Stephen’s Green, this is the city that likes to party pretty much every night of the week. Make sure you allow time for a trip around possibly Dublin’s most famous stag do hotspot – the Guinness Storehouse. We don’t know why but the black stuff just seems to taste best from the site’s seventh floor Gravity Bar which has amazing 360 degree panoramic views of Dublin.
Just a short stroll from the Guinness Storehouse is the city’s oldest pub, The Brazen Head (established 1198), should you fancy getting into the Irish spirit (the live music is as fast and furious as the pint pouring). It also has an excellent cobbled courtyard for the summer months.
As night falls, the city offers literally hundreds of great places for a bite to eat (Fleet Street and Temple Bar have dozens clustered together) after which it’s time to hit the bars and clubs. Head to St Stephens’ Green and the roads that radiate off the park (particularly Lower Leeson Street) which are dotted with drinking establishments and venues catering for every musical taste from retro seventies disco to dubstep.
