Getting There

Airports:

Tallinn airport is only 3 miles North West of the city centre. To date, the main national airlines fly direct from the U.K. Other major airlines fly indirect. With the entry of Estonia into the E.U., it is envisaged that the low cost airlines will soon begin operating flights direct. Keep an eye out for these developments.

Visa Requirements:

None for the holders of a full British passport.

Flight Time:

Approximately 3 hours

Getting Around

The central historic area of Tallinn is compact, so the best way to explore is on foot.
Be aware of the local taxis. Over-charging is not rife, but it does happen. Make sure there’s a visible working meter in the taxi, and that it is turned on. The driver should also have his registration and stamped photo prominently displayed. For more reasonable rates, call a taxi company direct, and agree a price beforehand.
