For anyone lucky enough to be escaping this atrocious summer we’re currently experiencing in the UK and about to venture over to Marbella for a hen or stag party; instead of trawling the hundreds of bars for the best cocktails, we’ve compiled a list of our favourites;

El Catalonia

Run by a New Yorker, this cocktail bar has a 60s rock n rock vibe with live music and DJs at the weekends making it a firm favourite for music lovers. Overlooking the port of Marbella, it’s the perfect cocktail bar for some yacht spotting too.

Nikki Beach

This exclusive beach club is an absolute must for a hen do in Marbella. With huge poolside sofas to lounge in, sea views, top DJs playing tunes throughout the day and night plus, your very own personal waiter service to bring cold and colourful cocktails to you; you’ll feel like you’re in paradise.

Astral

The mixologists here know their cocktails down to the very last drop of ice and the presentation is so good, you won’t want to drink them. However, you definitely should drink them because they’re heavenly! Set in a 19th Century sailing boat with an outdoor garden area right on the beach, it’s popular with both locals and tourists and always guaranteed a party atmosphere.

Cafe Sol

Looking out onto Playa Del Faro, one of Marbella’s most beautiful white sandy beaches, this is a great bar to sit and watch a sunset whilst enjoying a delicious cocktail. This bar prides itself on its laid back bohemian vibe, perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Casamono 

Run by an eccentric Frenchman who has a passion for…monkeys, this bar spread out over two floors with a jungle tribal feel and a lot of monkeys on the walls. The Al fresco area is perfectly shaded so ideal for retreating from the sun with a cocktail during the hottest part of the day. Although they don’t have a cocktail list long enough to keep you there all day, the quality is of high standard and with moules, oysters and other such French cuisine delights to feast on, you’ll likely be there into the night.
