Celeb update: Macca, Britney, Ne-Yo and Elizabeth Taylor’s wedding dress

Got a spare £30k knocking about? How about snapping the wedding dress worn by Elizabeth Taylor at her first marriage to Richard Burton? 400 of the late actress’s gowns are set to go under the hammer including the sunflower silk chiffon dress by Hollywood designer Irene Sharaff. Divine!

We love an A-list union, we do, and Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell’s forthcoming nuptials certainly promise to deliver. Here’s what we know so far:

• Date: on or after September 30^th, 16 days following the posting of the bans.
• Venue: Old Marylebone Town Hall where he married his first wife Linda in 1969 and their daughter Linda married last year.
• Dress: Stella McCartney for sure
• Pre-nup: there isn’t one. Shevell offered but Macca refused.
