Shania Twain engaged!
Hooray! The lovely Shania Twain has just announced her engagement to Nestle exec Frederic Thiebaud.
Now the course of true love never did run smooth but in their case it was positively turbulent. Here’s how the story goes: Twain had been married to rock producer Robert “Mutt” Lange for 14 years when he upped and left her for, wait for it, Frederic Thiebaud’s wife Marie-Anne Thiebaud. A double betrayal if ever we saw one.
Says Twain “we leaned on one another through the ups and downs, taking turns holding each other up. We’ve become stronger and closer through it all.”
We wish them every happiness. Wonder if they’ll observe the Hollywood trend for joint hen and stag parties a la Fergie/Josh Duhamel and Avril Lavigne/Derek Whibley?
