Getting There

Airports:

Barcelona’s international airport is approximately 8 miles south west of the city centre. In addition to the national carriers, many low cost airlines now fly into Barcelona direct. As an alternative, you can also fly into nearby Gerona, which is 70 miles away.

Visa:

None required for the holders of a full British passport.

Flight Time:

Approximately 2 hours

Getting Around

The main modes of transport you will require are your feet for the main central areas of La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter. If you are travelling further afield, for example to the Sagrada Familia, we recommend the excellent taxi services.

Alternatively take the Metro, which is not as extensive as in London, but is also an easy option to get around most of the city.

Sports

Barcelona needs no introduction as the home of the Catalan European giants. We can get tickets to most FC Barca home matches - why should football be just for the boys!. And if there is no home fixture on the weekend of your visit there is also the city's second team, RCD Espanyol, at the Olympic Stadium. We can also arrange tours of the Nou Camp Stadium, including the seating area, changing rooms and pitch itself. Remember that most games are scheduled for Sunday evening. Make sure that your flights fit in with the match!
